To protect customers, staff, and customs operations, Dominicana Cargo Express does not transport certain items. This policy supplements our Terms of Service and applies to all shipments between the United States and the Dominican Republic, regardless of size, packaging, or service type.
Extra caution: boxes & barrels
Prohibited items are not allowed in any shipment. In consolidated boxes and barrels, however, the following items most often cause fires, customs holds, and shipment rejection:

- Counterfeit goods
- Stolen property
- Fraudulent documents
- Pornographic or illegal materials

- Explosives and fireworks
- Gunpowder
- Military or tactical equipment
- Pepper spray or chemical defense products
Hazardous materials (HAZMAT)
- Gasoline, fuels, or propane
- Aerosols and industrial chemicals
- Corrosive or toxic materials
- Hazardous waste
- Flammable liquids or solids
Batteries & restricted electronics
- Damaged or loose lithium batteries
- Hoverboards
- Unauthorized high-capacity power banks
- Devices unsafe for air or sea transport
Perishable & agricultural
- Raw meats and dairy
- Fresh fruits or vegetables
- Plants or seeds without permits
- Live animals
- Biological materials
Cash & high-risk valuables
- Cash or currency
- Lottery tickets
- Precious stones or gold bullion
- High-value jewelry without declaration
Tobacco & alcohol
- Alcoholic beverages
- Cigarettes and tobacco
- Vape products and e-cigarettes
Other restricted goods
- Human remains
- Medical waste
- Prescription medications without documentation
- Products prohibited by DR customs or U.S. export laws
Restricted items
The following may require prior approval, additional fees, customs permits, special packaging, or declaration documents:
- Medicines or supplements
- Electronics (especially commercial quantities)
- Commercial merchandise
- Large quantities of cosmetics
- Automotive parts
- Food products
- Liquids and fragile items
- High-value products
Dominicana Cargo Express reserves the right to reject any shipment that may violate transportation, customs, or safety regulations.
No liability for prohibited or undeclared items
Important: Dominicana Cargo Express is not responsible for customs confiscation, food spoilage, liquid leakage, damage from improper packaging, undeclared electronics, prohibited medicines, or damage to improperly packed TVs/monitors when contents are prohibited, undeclared, misrepresented, or improperly packaged.
